Anyway, just photos for now, descriptions later. Too tired to describe everything in detail. Suffice it to say that my first Chowdown was a lot of fun. I met a lot of friendly, interesting, well-travelled people tonight. It was nice to not be the most (or only) food-obsessed person at the table! Thanks to everyone who was there, and especially Lisa (aka. CH Addict) for organizing the event. And apologies ahead of time for my blurry photos. I need to practice taking photos by candlelight.
Pizza: prosciutto, artichokes, olives, and mushrooms.
Carpaccio with spinach, capers, and Parmesan.
Plato mista (?): an appetizer array of olives, artichokes, caprese, and prosciutto.
Lasagnetta: pasta, sauce and cheese formed into layers (like lasagna), but then rolled up and cut into pinwheels.
Fettucine bolognese: homemade pasta, and sauce with a sauce of perfectly married meat and tomatoes.
I wasn't paying attention when this was ordered (or when I took the photo--disgraceful, isn't it?). I think it's artichoke ravioli.
Homemade gnocchi in gorgonzola sauce: cheesy, just pungent enough, not too creamy, with light fluffy gnocchi. I've only had gnocchi this tender at Ideale, and there the gnocchi was a little small for my taste.
Lamb chops: I'll say right now that I loved these even though they weren't particularly Italian. More later.
Veal Saltimboca: just okay.
Sacripantina: Dude From Mexico was kind enough to pick up this Italian cake from Stella Bakery in North Beach. Delicious.
Il Borgo on hayesvalleyshop.com (some nice photos of the restaurant, plus directions and phone number). Since I'm too lazy to post my own comments, click on the Chowhound thread the resulted from our meal.

So did you make that pizza or was it at a restaurant? I read it twice, but now I'm not so sure. I'll update about this later since there's so many pictures and it's late. ^__^
