200 Alert!
Well, my site hits reached 200 today, but the average is still down around 150. Once the average hits 200, it's feasting time! I've actually been in a cooking slump lately, in case you haven't noticed. I don't know what's wrong with me. I need something to kick start the cooking again. Maybe it's winter. Winter food is boring and depressing. I need some fresh fruit already.
Here's a funny photo for you. It's so cold and windy today. We sat in front of the window and watched the wind howl through the alley and bend the trees in half for a good five minutes. Brrrr! It was like a crazy wind show.

Congrats on the 200!
When I'm in a cooking slump I turn to my cookbooks. I try to pull out a few cookbooks that I was really excited about when I got them, and haven't looked at for months or years. Sometimes I just get inspiration from them. Sometimes I cook from them.

Hi! I found your blog through your post on chowhound. I have read every archive post this morning and really enjoyed all of it. Count me as a regular reader from now on. Thanks!

I guess on the account of the cooking slump, we'll forgive you for that McDonald's filet o'fish (the 'o' means it is actually fish! not). I think you need me to eat your food to come out of the slump (yeah, thaaaat's it). The job is tough, but for the sake of your 200 readership, I will reluctantly step in. (thank you, thank you, bow).

Psh. The Filet O' Fish is awesome, even if it does cost almost $3 now.
