Actually, it was so I could pick up a biscuit and some honey at McDonald's and eat it while driving down aforementioned mountain road while steering with one hand. Ah, the recklessness of youth. $1.29 Filet O' Fish Fridays
I couldn't resist, and I refuse to apologize for it.

And yes, many of my initial "I have a car" jaunts were to McD's for some fries.
No! They're $1.29 on Fridays and double that price every other day! Maybe McD's is secretly run by the Catholics.

When I could drive, we would get 3 supersize fries and maybe 20 piece chicken nuggets to split 3 ways. Freedom = fast food whenever we wanted.
Split three ways! I remember when I could eat all twenty on my own. Of course, my mother never let that happen. We'd have to beg her just to let us all share a box of twenty.
i used to drive to school while eating breakfast too. my road was only gently curvy, but my breakfast was cereal. (i sometimes steered with my knee, and i only spilled once in 2 yrs).
youth is darwin's last chance to cull the herd. somehow, a few oddballs still slide through.
