Emergency Oatmeal

I had a tiny hot dog at lunch, and then cereal as my 3 o'clock snack because my fridge is pretty end-of-the-week-empty. What the heck was I thinking? I was ready to pass out around 4:00, but too hungry to focus on what best to do to alleviate my pain. Finally, I figured it out:
Instant oatmeal with brown sugar, cinnamon, and a big scoop of soy protein powder. I feel so much better already. It's the weight lifting. It makes me crazy hungry.
Random photo: made myself some summer earrings in this season's hottest color. But what to wear?

  • That is the saddest story. Ever. I feel your pain.

I'm stocking up on McCann's tomorrow. I'm fresh out of oatmeal too.

  • Seriously, how did that happen? You know that we have to set an example for all the dumb, meal-skipping people out there. One of my roommates wants me to help her with a fitness plan, and I insisted that the first step be breakfast every day. And lattes do not count. But speaking of meal-related tragedies, I went to a panel yesterday advertising a light lunch from 12-12:30 before it started. I got there at 12:10 and there was nothing left but cold roasted onions and picked-over salad. I had to eat a giant sandwich afterwards - thank goodness I had some nuts with me to tide me over.

  • I don't know how it happened! But I blame the hot dog. I had:

-toast and fruit (strawberries and tangerines) for breakfast
    -my latte
    -a hot dog
-looked around for a 3 o'clock snack and didn't see anything exciting, ate some cereal
    -disaster at 4 p.m.

I had dinner (rice, broccoli, kimchi, leftover bacon soup), then at 4 a.m. I woke up starved again and consumed two bowls of rice porridge.
