John O'Groats

I rarely regret going out for a meal, but Sunday brunch today may have been a bit of a mistake. Just. Too. Hot. for a big meaty eggy meal.

People kept talking up the fresh corned beef hash available only on Sundays, but it was just okay. It could use a little more spicy and be more crispy rather than hard/chewy around the edges. The tenderness of the center pieces was good, though. Unremarkable hard scrambled eggs.

I ordered cilantro mashed potato pancakes. Hm. Definitely needed some salt, but good with my side of vwry good bacon.

My favorite thing from brunch was actually the biscuits that came on the side, which tasted more like buttery scones. Delicious! They gave us four, which was awesome. I have two and a half stashed in the fridge for breakfast.
