I've decided a lot of things taste better when they're cooked in a waffle iron. Today's lunch was a sandwich of whole wheat bread, hot salami, heirloom tomatoes, and Beecher's Marco Polo cheese which has large black peppercorns in it. The side was a simple sliced tomato and cucumber salad with some salt and balsamic vinegar.

I'm gonna have to try this one...it looks crunchy, just the way I like to eat certain foods!!! I Love your blog!!! Btw, do you make a dish called wah gway, that is not the way it is spelled, it's the way that i remember it being pronounced. My Taiwanese mother and her friends used to make this in chinese bowls(steamed). If not have you heard of this dish or something similar? I remember how good it was and would like to make it for my family.
Thanks for reading!
I do know wah gway, I love it too. However, I've never made it myself. The closest I've come is turnip cakes (luo buo gao) but that's not quite the same.
If you ever find a recipe, let me know and I'll make it some time! That definitely brings me back to my childhood; I've just never seen a recipe around!
