Ack, there is such a thing as having too many choices. Anyone care to weigh in on which faucet looks best? I know it depends on our kitchen, but we have no photo so far. Let's just say it's a smallish, contemporary kitchen. Espresso flat-front cabinets with an off white Caesarstone countertop, stainless steel appliances, and a touch of the retro with a white apron front sink.

I like the last option the best, simply because it has one handle! I dislike having to deal with hot/cold knobs, especially when my hands are dirty and I want warm water.
i agree w caitlyn - the functionality of one handle can't be beat.
Agreed!
I prefer 2. I like to have separate hot/cold water option cuz I am always worried there might be yucky chemicals in the hot water... but it's just me, I could be completely wrong! Happy renovation.
How do you avoid yucky chemicals with two? I like the two handle ones because you can have a small trickle of hot or cold if you want it, whereas the single handle one will run the water at full strength at one temperature (usually hot) -J
Here is how: when I drink cold water, I usually turn on the cold water handle, let it run for a while to make sure all the hot water residue is gone, then I drink the water... I know it's kind of anal but I saw powdery stuff in hot water once so that got me scared.
J and Cat are both talking nonsense. There's no extra icky stuff in hot water v. cold, you might just taste it more in hot water. And all single lever faucets that aren't super cheap have two functions depending how you pull the lever so you can utilize the full range of hot to cold and on to off.
You're not supposed to drink tap water in LA! The mineral buildup is in both hot and cold water. If you let refrigerator ice melt or let a cup of cold water sit, sometimes you can see it. It has nothing to do with hot/cold.
Ok, the hot v. cold may be non-sense but I do filter the cold water before I drink...
Ok good. LA water needs to be filtered for sure.
aesthetically i like the first one the most
I like the single handle faucet the best. It’s the most convenient especially when both hands are dirty. If you want both a hot and cold handle, I like the first one.
